Kākāpō Digital is a small, independent software studio operating from New Zealand. We design and build apps and tools in-house, taking each project from the first sketch through to the finished product. Our work tends to span consumer apps, tools for small teams, and a few things we make simply because they’re worth making. We focus on a small number of projects at a time, so each one gets the attention it needs.

The studio is named after the kākāpō, the only flightless parrot in the world and a bird found nowhere but Aotearoa. It went its own way and became something no other parrot is. That’s the spirit we build in: we question the conventional answer, push past where others stop, and build work that lasts.
